Congratulations to You and Uncle Julian on Becoming New Grandparents Again

I have been waiting for months to introduce y'all to the new human being in my life. His proper noun is Anderson Truesdale. I'chiliad non disclosing his last name for privacy sake. This niggling boy has a very big proper noun to grow into!  Anderson was my father's middle name and his mother's maiden proper name. Truesdale is a family name of Jonathan'due south. He was born October 22 and since then he has rocked my world! Anderson is my first grandchild. I have prayed for this little guy for decades. Anderson's entry into this world was quite normal but he was a picayune early on. They call newborns like Anderson late-term preemies. He has all his fingers and toes and a head of black hair but his niggling lungs are a flake young. The moving picture in a higher place was taken when he was simply a couple hours quondam.

Not long after this dear little boy was born the delivery nurse discovered that he was non breathing properly. So came streams of doctors and hospital staff into the delivery room to bank check on "our trivial infant". Later on a brusk time he was whisked away to the NIC-U where he lived for the start nine days of his sweet petty life.

Not the plan my daughter and son-in-police force had in heed at all. Jonathan spent the first mean solar day of Anderson's life going from the NIC-U to the maternity ward attention to both female parent and baby.

Anderson was plugged into machines and put in an incubator with warming lights. He was giving oxygen and a feeding tube and lots of attending.

Those 9 days were filled with tests and conjectures and long days and nights. Jacqueline was discharged from the hospital but chose to stay with Anderson living in a small, stripped down room in an adjacent hallway that was beingness renovated to exist near her baby. Sorta creepy and desolate.

This was not in the program! Not in our plan at all! But God… I've come up to love those two words! Simply God is sovereign and was in complete command! He had the program!

As a female parent, I was non only concerned most my start grandbaby but my precious girl too. During a tranquillity moment we  talked about how SHE was doing she said, "I have decided to count my blessings and to focus on how God is working in this state of affairs"! My mother's heart leapt for joy at her wisdom and spiritual maturity!

REJOICE ALWAYS, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES; FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS FOR YOU. ane Thessalonians 5:16-18

Jacquline went near the new normal of her day with peace and grace and lots of thanksgiving! She was able to care for her son in the NIC-U and love on him with a "peace that passes understanding".

During the fourth dimension Anderson was in the NIC-U we all counted our approval!

Here are merely a few, a very few blessing we could count:

• The infirmary Jacqueline and Jonathan chose had a NIC-U
• The hospital staff was fabulous!
• Anderson was getting the best care
• The hospital had a great restaurant
• Anderson'due south intendance in the NIC-U was phenomenal!
• Anderson was the healthiest babe in the NIC-U
• We were able to pray for all the babies in the NIC-U when we prayed for Anderson
• This was a bonding experience for the new parents
• I was able to be with J and J and got to hold my lilliputian grandson and assistance
• Nosotros live inside driving altitude of our grandbaby
• Anderson has hair like his mommy
• He has a long trunk like his daddy
• And a m other approving upon blessings

Here he is only 7 days quondam in the NIC-U. Finally no oxygen or feeding tubes!

It'due south non easy to count our blessing, peculiarly when things don't go the manner we plan. Merely blessings are all around u.s.a.. God's dearest for us is always there and never failing.

The closer we walk with the Father and the more we know Him through His discussion the more our eyes are open to His blessings!

Anderson and his mommy and daddy are at domicile now. Lots of wires yet hooked upward to him, but he'south doing fine!

As for me, I will never be the same! I am undone and totally overcome. This lilliputian male child is such a tangible blessing. He has stolen my heart!

 This is i GiGi (my grandmother proper noun) that merely keeps counting her blessings! And Anderson, you are on the top of my list!

Now I am praying the verse that was said about Jesus. I am praying this for Anderson only equally I prayed for his mommy and uncle when they were children… AND HE GREW IN WISDOM AND STATURE AND FAVOR Before GOD AND MEN. Paraphrased from Luke 2:52.
